Trying a New Flavor of Toothpaste May Help Kids Brush Better

Posted on 3/10/2017 by Cynthia Pelley
A toothbrush that has a new flavor of toothpaste on it.
When anyone gets bored, they tend to be more half-hearted in their approach to any task at hand. The same goes with brushing your teeth. As a parent, if you have noticed that your child is only brushing with a partial effort, it may be due to boredom.

One way to spice things up a little bit is to try a new flavor of toothpaste. It can be just enough of a change to make brushing a bit more fun again.

Kids Toothpastes Come in Lots of Different Flavors

Your kids can brush their teeth with a wide variety of flavors. One of the most common flavors that kids get the option of with toothpaste is bubble gum.

This is often a really fun flavor for kids, especially those that are too young to chew gum on their own. While this flavor may be fun, it can also get boring quite quickly.

Your children may want to act more like mom or dad, so if that is the case, try a flavor that is similar to what you use. Look for a mint or cinnamon flavor, and get one for you that matches. That way, when you two brush, it is something you can both have fun with together.

If they aren't into mint or cinnamon, they can always try the different fruit flavors that are on the market. There are punch, cherry, fruit, and even grape flavors of kids' toothpastes to change up their boring brushing routine.

Don't let your kids get bored when it comes to brushing their teeth. It could spell disaster for their overall oral health. Take the time to make brushing fun, and figure out ways to keep your specific child entertained. That way, they work hard to keep their teeth healthy and clean.

Please contact our office if you have any questions about trying a new flavors of toothpaste.
